For that reason, we offer a programme of courses around the UK for coaches of all qualifications and levels of experience which is hard to beat. As tennis coaches ourselves, we know the subjects and issues which matter to you, and we want to share them with you. All our courses are booked and paid for online, and offer LTA license points for licensed coaches.
Our programme of CPD courses for 2012 includes: The new LTA Mini Tennis workshop This is a new LTA workshop whch is being run exclsuively by LTA Coach Education centres such as inspire2coach. Find out about how to make the new LTA Mini Tennis Awards work for you, using them to help your players develop, to energise your programme and to make more money by developing a team of coaches and others to help grow your programme. This course is open to Level 2s and above and offers 5 LTA license points for licensed coaches. Drills and Skills This is a great course for developingor taking a fesh look at your everyday work on court. We'll help you evaluate your core coaching skills, focussing on goal setting on court, effective and realistic feeding, setting challenging and exciting practice situations, analysing and evaulating player performance by measuring tactical effectiveness and giving great feedback to support player progress. The course offers 5 LTA license points. Receiving Skills This great course provides a wealth of information and ideas on how to develop receiving skills in your players. More errors and problems arise from poor receiving skills than any other aspect of the game. This course provides information on why they are such a challenge, drills and ideas to develop them, and how to identify if and when receiving skills are good or poor. A real must for all coaches working with club players of all ages or junior performance players. Coaching 10 and Unders - moving players from red to orange When to move young players from red to orange is a big decision. This course covers the abilities which players are capable of by the end of red and the skills they need to continue their progress at orange. The course offers a range of drills and exercises which help coaches know when players are ready to move, and also covers a range of of other issues which coaches need to consider when progressing players. Licensed coaches will be awarded 3 LTA Licence points for attending this course. Coaching 10 and Unders - moving players from orange to green This is our newest addition to our CPD programme. The aim of this course is to help coaches to understand the issues relating to the decision to move players from orange to green. Building on its sister course, red to orange, the course examines the skills which need to be developed on the orange court in preparation for the game on the green court. Three LTA license points are awarded for full attendance on this course. Winning Tactics for the Junior Game This course covers the LTA stroke intentions including tactical progressions from red to yellow ball. This course is perfect for coaches looking to improve understanding of how to link sound technique and tactical understanding in juniors. The course offers 5 LTA license points. Level 1/Level 2 Workshop Gain lots of great ideas and practices, specially written for Level 1 and 2 coaching assistants. We will help to build on the information given during your course, covering ABCS, drills and games for lessons and giving great ideas for quick competition formats to use in lessons and in holiday programmes. Cardio Tennis This is by far our most popular course. The fast-paced delivery of this great fitness product shows you how to run fast-moving drills to music, using Heart Rate Monitors to ensure an optimal workout. This course is open to Level 2 Coaching Assistants, Level 3 coaches and above, and to qualified REPs Level 2 Fitness Instructors with the current REPs membership. Advanced Cardio Tennis If you have completed the Cardio Tennis course and are delivering Cardio in a club, this great advanced course will help you improve the quality of your programme still more, adding more great detail and new ideas and drills to your programme. Coaching Starter Adults In 2012, the ITF launches Adults Tennis Xpress, the new adults tennis programme. The course is written by inspire2coach together with a team of experts from the around the world, and will be a big hit in the UK. This 3 hour course takes coaches through the content and practical ideas needed to revolutionise tennis for beginner adults in your club, so that you are ready to deliver Adults Tennis Xpress in 2012. Play Test To be able to access the new LTA Coach qualification a basic playing standard is required. The Play Test allows people to be assessed against the relevant entry playing criteria for a specific qualification. Once successful on the Play Test candidates will be able to access their qualification course knowing that their playing standard is of the correct standard for the start of the course. However, if candidates have or have had a rating at or above the following level they do not need to take the Play Test. First Aid Whether applying for a Level 2 or already in full time coaching, tennis coaches must have a recognised EFAW First Aid qualification. inspire2coach has the perfect package, offering tennis-specific courses for just £69. Please note that current regulations require that the only valid First Aid course for tennis coaches is the HSE Approved 1 Day Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course.
