Coach Mentoring
Individualised Development Programme
The Individualised Development Programme (IDP) is a new programme devised by the LTA. inspire2coach is approved by the LTA to deliver IDP. It's a way for you to follow an individualised learning programme based on your needs and the needs of your programme.
The programme lasts for 9-12months and involves meetings with an inspire2coach mentor to analyse needs, set objectives, agree an action plan and review progress.
The action plans will involve some learning and training. There is flexibility in how this is delivered. It could be delivered by the us at the venue, through external courses, or through private study. Coaches completing the programme will receive 15 LTA Coach Licence Credits.
inspire2coach has 2 approved tutors on the programme, Directors Mark Tennant and Richard Marklow. It gives you an individualised approach to your training, to help you develop your knowledge, skills and understanding.Your coaching and your programme will benefit from IDP.
It’s a great opportunity to receive specific training at your club, for the whole team, and get your LTA license points at the same time.

FAQs
1. How much does it cost?
The costs vary a little according to where you are, and the format we agree. Typically you can budget for approximately £300-£350 per day. The IDP requires 3 days.
2. Is it only for coaches?
The IDP is open to licensed and unlicensed coaches, and Coaching Assistants (Level 1 and Level 2).
3. How many licence points will I get?
If you complete the programme by attending all 3 days and completing the tasks in between, you'll be awarded 15 LTA Coach Licence credits, 3 of which will be awarded after the first of the 3 meetings.
4. Can it be shorter than 9 months?
No! The whole point of IDP is that it combines visits by a tutor/mentor with you gaining experience or doing additional work to develop your knowledge on topics covered. This takes time. If you want something shorter, try our CPD programme, including our Distance Learning course.
5. What topics does IDP cover?
It's up to you. By completing the Needs Analysis, and by enrolling on the programme in the first place, presumably you have some idea of topics or areas you want to cover. This is then agreed with the tutor and arranged into a 9-12 month programme.
