Distance Learning

Welcome to our first Distance Learning course for tennis coaches!

This course allows you to develop your coaching and your club programme from the comfort or your home or office. Just imagine a course which you can do where you like, in your own time, and without having to travel to a tennis centre. You'll have 6 months to complete the course from the day you book, and, on completion, you'll earn 6 LTA license points if you are licensed.

To book and pay for this course, please visit the last page of the Forthcoming Courses section. To see before you buy, click here.

The title of our first course is ‘Progressing Players from Red to Orange’.

If you are actively involved in Mini Tennis, you’ll be aware of the need to make the right decision of when to progress players from one level to another. It’s not always an easy decision, so the aim of this project is to help you understand more about the factors you should consider when moving players from red to orange.

This course will help you to critically evaluate and then improve your current practice, all from the comfort of your own home or office! Once satisfactorily completed, you’ll be awarded 6 LTA license points.

To complete the course and tasks in the required manner, we'll email you instructions, so that you complete the course thoroughly and satisfactorily. The course is in 5 simple stages. Some of the stages consist of more than one task. You must complete every task fully before submitting your course work. You may be required to complete some simple research of your programme to gather the necessary information.

Submitting your project
When you have satisfactorily completed this course, and when it has been marked by us, your course work is emailed to us to be marked. Once received, we will aim to mark your course work within a week of receiving it. We will then email you with comments and we will apply on your behalf to the LTA for your license points.
