Tennis Leaders Training
This course trains coaches to deliver the new revised LTA Tennis Leaders course in clubs, sports centres, schools and colleges. The course is open to LTA licensed coaches who have an interest in training 13-16 year olds to assist in the running of the club programme, and is also open to Sports Development staff and teachers who teach tennis as part of the Key Stage 4 PE curriculum. Play Test
To be able to access the new LTA Coach qualification a basic playing standard is required. The Play Test allows people to be assessed against the relevant entry playing criteria for a specific qualification. Once successful on the Play Test candidates will be able to access their qualification course knowing that their playing standard is of the correct standard for the start of the course. However, if candidates have or have had a rating at or above the following level they do not need to take the Play Test. Minimum ratings required are:
· 6.1 for the Club Coach course
· 5.1 for the Performance Coach course
· 5.1 for Senior and Master Club courses
· 4.1 for Senior and Master Performance courses
This session delivered by inspire2coach takes coaches through the on-court tests and an overview of the new Coach Education structure.
